My training combines a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Teaching Licentiate in Piano with Distinction from UNISA, alongside a Master of Science in Educational Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Studying under respected South African piano masters Marian Friedman, Malcolm Nay, and Pauline Nossel continues to shape my technical rigor and musical outlook.
Across a ten-year teaching career in private practice and leading independent schools, I have prepared students for graded piano examinations, eisteddfods, and concerto performances. This dual background ensures every student builds technical clarity alongside emotional confidence at the instrument.

Educational psychology informs every lesson in my Longworth studio. Technical growth relies on clear communication, emotional ease, and structured feedback. Lessons focus on building strong reading ability, tone control, and sound physical posture, ensuring that students gain genuine skill while enjoying weekly practice.
